Dear Parents/Guardians,
The health and wellness of our patients, families, and staff has always been the top priority at Quakerbridge Pediatrics. In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, we want to provide reassurance that we are taking many preventative measures to ensure the safety of everyone that comes into our office.
Currently, all our employees are following strict procedures and policies with handwashing, using protective equipment such as gloves and/or masks, and staying home if they are not feeling well.
We have put into place enhanced cleaning measures throughout the day – all patient rooms are cleaned with wipes and disinfectant spray after every use. We have employed more frequent cleaning of heavily trafficked areas including the waiting room, triage area, rest room and staff offices. Hard surfaces such as the front desk, doorknobs, and faucet handles are also being wiped down continuously throughout the day. A thorough cleaning of the entire office is being done after the morning and evening hours daily. In addition, Quakerbridge Pediatrics will soon become a certified Sterile Space.
Our providers and staff are staying well informed by closely following up to date guidelines from the CDC and Department of Health. We are currently employing screening measures for all patients prior to coming into the office. The front desk staff has been trained to ask all parents/guardians screening questions based on recent travel and current signs/symptoms.
The following measures are being taken to limit the spread of infection and ensure the safety of all patients, families, and employees:
- Any patient with fever, cough, and/or other symptoms will be asked to remain in their car in the parking lot once reaching the office for their appointment. They will be called into the office once a patient room is available for them.
- Walk in appointments will no longer be allowed. We ask all parents/guardians to call for an appointment prior to coming into the office. Any patient that walks in will be given an appointment for a later time that day or latest by the next day.
- Any patient or family with suspected exposure to a person with COVID-19 SHOULD NOT come into the office to be seen. Please call the office right away to speak with a provider so we can guide you appropriately.
- We ask that only one healthy parent/guardian bring the patient to their visit as much as possible
We ask that all families continue to follow the safety measures outlined by the CDC and Department of Health. Wash hands frequently, stay home if you are not feeling well. Practice social distancing and avoid crowded areas as much as possible. Refer to the CDC and Department of Health for further guidelines and information.
We are committed to continue providing the best care possible to our patients and families. We appreciate your cooperation as we move forward during this time. Please feel free to reach out to our staff and providers at any time with any questions or concerns you may have.
Thank you,
Quakerbridge Pediatrics
