While serious hearing and vision problems are rare, early childhood testing can ensure that any problems are identified and properly managed during the early stages of development. Timely diagnosis is important because problems can affect speech and language development, social skills, and even lead to educational issues.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends having your child’s hearing and vision checked at least once per calendar year beginning with children 3 years old. Quakerbridge Pediatrics offers both hearing and vision screenings during annual well-visits or on an as-needed basis.
